Pink Residence

Located off Mulholland Drive, overlooking the San Fernando Valley, in Sherman Oaks, is the proposed single family Pink Residence. The property is a fairly steep descending parcel from the road. Because of the topography, the design approach was to develop a structure which parallels the slope and is evolved around a fairly rectilinear plan to minimize the number of deepened pile foundations necessary to support the proposed structure. The resulting design is organized with the main Entry, Carport and secondary Bedrooms at street level, with the Primary Bedroom above and remaining public spaces and poor terrace below. This also allows the greatest capture of views.
