Purdue Avenue Residence

This project is located in Mar Vista neighborhood of West Los Angeles. The project involved the addition and complete renovation of the existing single story residence, which had multiple prior non-compatible additions done over the years. The Owner’s were interested in maintaining a single story Modern Farm home with an open floor plan which better responded to their current blended family needs. Because the lot was fairly narrow and deep, we chose to bring the main front entry further into the property, as opposed to facing the street, which allowed us to separate private from public spaces, provide better adjacency to outdoor spaces and minimize interior hallways.
