Linnie Canal Residence

This project is set on one of three adjacent parcels in the Venice Canals. This structure is one of two buildings and comprises the south end of a proposed courtyard compound. Inspired by the owner's travels in places like Morocco and Mali, this structure and the proposed main residence create a colorful composition of undulating massing, interior-exterior interrelationships and plays on the solid and void which embrace the outdoor living area/courtyard. Many of the owner’s artifacts they have collected over their years of travel have been incorporated into the design.
