Sub-Urban Infill Prototype
location to be determined
2600 sq ft residences
Project Architect: Jim Gelfat
Production: Jim Gelfat, Viktor Von Mertens
This prototype single family residence is designed for a standard 50’ X125’ sub-urban lot. The plan is organized around a series of outdoor spaces or courtyards linking the interior spaces. The design incorporates inside/outside living with an open plan on the first floor, which houses the more public or communal spaces while the second floor is reserved for the more private spaces. Although the design is predicated on contemporary ideals and lifestyle, it is adaptable to a multitude of historical architectural styles allowing the project to be compatible with a variety of contexts.
