Sheller Residence
Temecula, CA
10,000 sq ft residence
Project Architect: Jim Gelfat
Production: Jim Gelfat, Viktor Von Mertens
This property is located on the lower slopes of eastern side of the Temecula Valley. This contemporary interpretation of a Spanish Hacienda, incorporates a low profile, courtyard compound with an open floor plan. The interior courtyard and pool is protected by afternoon winds while the interior space commands the vistas of the valley below. Traditional elements such as covered colonnades, motorcourts and pitched roofs are contrasted with contemporary detailing and colored concrete floors with radiant heat.
